It was my first time traveling across the pond, so I HAD to stop in the Star Alliance lounge for some Pinot to calm my nerves..
Luckily it was a smooth flight! Instead of taking a car, I had to experience this crazy thing they have called “Public Transportation”. It was surprisingly clean! We took the Heathrow express into the city – it took only 15 minutes and had free wi-fi so you can update your Facebook!
A visit to London isn’t complete without afternoon tea! I had to make a visit to Claridges; they have the BEST scones!!
It was a dream of mine to watch the changing of the guard- As you can see. I couldn’t contain myself 🙂
London Eye was amazing! Views of Big Ben and the Thames! It’s like being in one big bubble!
I then took the Tube to King’s Cross station – One of my favorite books is Harry Potter so I had to see Platform 9 3/4 I was hoping to meet Hedwig and Harry – but I at least was able to wear my Gryffindor scarf!
Everyone told me I had to have “proper” fish and chips, so I went to one of the Oldest pubs in London for a bite and a pint! Look at the selection!
It was an exhausting 24 hrs – I was lucky enough to be upgraded to Business Class (The flight attendant recognized me) and I had an awesome flight home!
